Delete Your Account
We're sorry to see you go. Here's how to delete your YouScore account and what happens to your data.
Delete via the App (Recommended)

Open the YouScore app on your device.

Tap the Profile tab (bottom right).

Scroll down to the “Danger Zone” section.

Tap “Delete Account”.

Confirm the deletion when prompted. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
Delete via Email
If you are unable to access the app, you can request account deletion by emailing us:
Send an email to privacy@youscore.app with:
- Subject line: “Account Deletion Request”
- The email address associated with your YouScore account
- Your full name on the account
We will process your request within 7 business days and send a confirmation email.
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:
Account information
Name, email, password, profile photo
Your content
Comments, likes, and highlight interactions
Preferences
Followed schools, teams, and notification settings
Calendar events
Game calendar syncs created through the app
Reporter data
Articles, earnings history, and reporter status (if applicable)
What May Be Retained
Some data may be retained in limited circumstances:
- Legal obligations: Data required by law (e.g., financial records for tax purposes) may be retained for the legally required period.
- Anonymized data: Aggregated, anonymized usage data that cannot identify you may be retained for analytics.
- Published content: Score updates and game events you reported may remain as part of the game record, but will be disassociated from your identity.
Deletion Timeline
Your account is deactivated and you are signed out of the app.
Your profile, comments, and interactions are removed from public view.
All personal data is permanently deleted from our systems and backups.
